This blog was started as “homework” assigned by the nutritional consultant I started seeing in October 2014. Will try to maintain it as a way of tracking progress, if any, from the new eating program she’s prescribing for me.

I’m also hoping that the entries may be helpful for others debating whether to start similar eating programs.

Re the weird URL:

The original AtarChef blog was a repository for the food articles I’d published in the Jerusalem Post a gazillion years ago. It had served, too, as an adjunct to my webdev site, AtarTec, illustrating the use of blogs–which wasn’t yet mainstream. As such, the name “AtarChef” made sense. It doesn’t anymore–now that AtarTec is basically dead–but never mind.

I’d disabled the original blog since I’d been lazy about patching all the security issues and it had been hacked. This new blog is being hosted on the WordPress server, not mine, so I can leave security to them. Maybe someday I’ll get around to uploading the old articles here, too. Maybe…
